Steal This Look: Playful Minimalism in a Parisian Kitchen
To be filed under Spring Inspiration: the dramatic full renovation of a two-floor Parisian flat from 1830 by Hélène Pinaud and Julien Schwartzmann of Heju. Soft pastel colors, stocked bookshelves, and modern architectural updates make up the style; here, we’ve identified the key items in the kitchen area with sources to match.
Above: The downstairs is an open-plan living area and kitchen. The lower kitchen cabinets are made of Baltic birch with carved recessed handles.
Above: The back cabinets are lacquered wood and the counter is engineered quartz.
Above: The pale pink stair is finished in Mercadier color.
Materials
Above: The walls are painted in Heju Ressource Papier in Washi Paint Color.
Above: The cabinets are painted in a color from the Argile palette; something like the Kaolin Paint Color (T222) at Argile.
Lighting & Fixtures
Above: The HKLiving Terra Raffia Pendant Light is available via HK Living.
Above: The pair of wall lights are the Tom Dixon Stone LED Wall Lights, $550 each at Tom Dixon.
Above: A similar faucet is the Newport Brass Muncy Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet (3290-5113); from $1,248 at Quality Bath.
Furniture
Above: The dining chairs are a set of vintage Niels Otto Møller Vintage 75 chairs; find vintage versions online, like these from Chairish.
Above: The Ethnicraft Teak Bok Extendable Dining Table by Alain Van Havre is $5,299 at Ethnicraft.
Accessories
Above: The Hay Jug Lilac Handle Green is tough to find, but the similar Pink Jug With Green Handle is $103 at Finnish Design Shop.
Above: Ceramics by Laura makes the blue fruit bowl seen in the center of the dining table; browse her offerings here.
Above: Some of the ceramics in the project are by Léontine Furcy; peruse here for more.
