No surprise: We’re always in pursuit of good-looking jars for decanting bulk dry goods. So of course our interest was sparked by A Graphic Designer’s Redone Victorian, Where the Pantry Takes Center Stage: What does Martina Casonato, the homeowner and designer behind @thevenetianpantry, use in her own larder—the space she calls “the pantry of her dreams”?

Read on.

The Sighting

The Source

But I also love to recycle supermarket jars or my mum’s jam jars! It all contributes to creating that not-too-precious aesthetic that I love.” Martina uses the Ikea 365+ Dry food Jars on her top two shelves, but for a glass alternative, try the Round Glass Storage Containers with Bamboo Lids from Crate and Barrel, from $9.95 for the small size. (The complete set is also available for $54.80.)

An Ikea version: The Etklatant Jar with Lid is glass and bamboo;, from $12.99. Also available? Rectangular versions in a slew of sizes and shapes.
