- We love everything about longtime Remodelista friend Julianne Moore’s NYC place—but especially this trusty Ikea find in her kitchen.
- Julie’s taking note of “What Endures”, an exhibit at Michaela Scherrer Atelier on “what we keep, what we nurture, and what we carry forward”, October 24 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Also currently on view: our friend Jessica Fish’s groovy, quilt-like drawings at Erica Tanov’s Berkeley atelier. (Hat tip: Fan.)
- Mark your calendars for a first-ever holiday market at the great Bovina Farm & Fermentory, coming up in November.
- And ooh, intrigued by this textile show in Petaluma, CA, going on October 17.
- Farrow & Ball is turning 80—and releasing some lovely wallpapers to celebrate.
- At the same time, we’re in the midst of a “color recession”. Thoughts?
- New Yorkers, you’re invited to “Daydream”, Sixpenny’s one-day installation in Elizabeth Street Garden, Saturday, October 17, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. (open to the public).
- Quartz countertops are on the way out, at least in California.
- Annie’s eyeing The Weathered Bird, a new shop starring longtime favorite jewelry maker Ursa Major. (P.S. Look at these candles!)
- Mending goals.
- Immense curb appeal for a home that’s on the shadier side.
- Must-read: “In Praise of a Rough Lawn,” by Stephen Orr.
- This weekend, in Cairo, NY, our Hort & Pott friends are opening Night on the Sun, their latest “experiential retail destination for gardens, interiors and the in-between.”
- Weekend to-do: the prettiest fall front-door decor.
- Kendra’s signed up to attend the Fermentation Celebration at OmVed Gardens Oct. 17. Ticket info here.
- And ICYMI, the granny-chic design trend—but outdoors.
