Current Obsessions: On the Cusp
We’re in that liminal space between summer and fall, at least where most of our editors live, and we can feel the tilt into a quieter, slower pace. Hope you take care this weekend, and here are 13 good things on our radar:

- Wunderkind chef Flynn McGarry does it again: We’re eagerly awaiting his new restaurant, Cove, opening in October in NYC. “Every detail has been calibrated to his precise specifications: Before he even had a lease, he’d drafted the place on AutoCAD, which he taught himself,” writes Rachel Sugar for Grub Street. - Need a home office upgrade? Admiring these pretty new accessories from Commune x Remains.
- File under: most inventive curtain we’ve seen (hat tip: Margot).
- A club we’d like to be part of (hat tip: Julie).
- Another reason to go to Marseille: a ceramics pop-up at the Oeuvres Sensibles atelier.
- We’re intrigued by the return of the good old-fashioned landline. Meanwhile, considering this.
- Best-looking laundry room we’ve seen in a bit.
- Off-season shoppers, heads-up: Skagerak’s outdoor furniture is 20 percent off at Bloomist.
-
Quite possibly the most beautiful moon garden we’ve ever seen.
-

-
“I love the organic shape of these self-watering globes for houseplants,” says Fan.
-
Our gardens are starting to look a little brown. Yours too? Now may be the perfect time to pick up this gorgeous new book on dried floral design.
-
All about “cramscaping” and why you should try this trend.
-
And a magical courtyard garden in what was once a place to dump trash.
